Black and grey realism
Portraits, animals and statues in grey wash, built in layers from the softest shade to solid black.
- Starting price
- from €250 per half day
- Typical session
- half days, often 2 or 3 sessions
Realism is built like a photograph: dilutions of black ink, from the lightest grey wash to solid black, laid in layers. It needs room, a good reference photo and, usually, more than one session.
What is included
- A consultation to choose or compose the reference image
- A drawing adapted to the shape of the muscle
- Sessions planned in advance, with the time between them
- Aftercare instructions in writing
- A check of the healing between sessions
Good to know
A portrait smaller than a palm loses its expression within a few years. For a face, count on a forearm or larger.
Bring the sharpest photo you have, taken in daylight: a blurry or over-filtered picture cannot be tattooed sharp.
Aftercare, before you leave
The same four rules for every style, written on the sheet you take home.
Keep the film on
For as long as we told you: a few hours for a classic film, several days for a second-skin dressing.
Wash, dry, a thin layer
Clean hands, mild soap, pat dry with paper, then a thin layer of healing cream, two or three times a day.
No bath, sea, pool or sun
For about three weeks, until the skin has closed. After that, sunscreen keeps the lines sharp.
Do not scratch
The skin peels and itches: let it. Picking a scab takes the ink with it.
Tell us about your project
A few lines are enough: the idea, where on the body, roughly how big. Paste links to references if you have some. We answer within three working days with a price range and a consultation date.
Deposit from €50, deducted from the final price. Kept if you cancel less than 48 hours before.
